Ximena C. Flanders, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist with extensive experience in pediatrics. She has authored numerous scholarly publications and has been invited to present at various national and international conferences. Additionally, she has delivered numerous guest lectures and received media coverage for her expertise.
Studies
Earning her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University and completed both her residency and fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Between 2012 and 2018, she was a faculty professor and clinical supervisor at Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.
In 2018, Dr. Flanders returned to her roots in South Florida, where she accepted a position as a pediatric psychologist at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. In 2020, she launched her private practice, South Florida Pediatric Psychology, based in Coral Springs.
Experience
Her career has consistently been dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based psychological care to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. As a specialist in pediatric health psychology, she focuses on the complex interactions between cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, and physical health.
